COVID-19 Friendly Policy

As travel experts we understand that there is a lot of uncertainty when booking a holiday now, that’s why we want to take out any stress for you.

If you have booked any one of our adventure holiday tours or sessions and are unable to travel or participate due to you or any member of your booking party being diagnosed with COVID-19 or are required by law to self-isolate then you may cancel your booking based on the terms below:

Apex Expeditions Ltd agrees to waive it’s normal cancellation charges (see booking conditions) in accordance with the below terms.

  1. You must notify us in writing or by email if you wish to cancel as soon as possible. You must include official evidence of your coronavirus diagnosis or need to self-isolate. This could be the results of a test result or a letter from the NHS. The date, name of person and test results/self-isolation must be clearly displayed. It will not be possible to cancel or refund a booking with just symptoms alone.
  2. Your cancellation due to COVID-19 will only be granted if it directly effects your departure date or holiday dates. For example, you depart on the 1st January 2021, but you must self-isolate until 2nd January 2021.
  3. You may cancel due to COVID-19 within four weeks of your departure date including your day of departure.
  4. Apex will offer you a refund of any recoverable costs of your holiday. A refund means to your credit/debit card or bank account (depending on how the original payment was made) of the amount you paid us for your booking.
  5. If we can operate your trip in accordance with government guidance and the FCDO, but you are unable to self-isolate on your return to the UK (if legally required) and so preventing you from travelling, you will be eligible for a full refund less non-recoverable cost.
  6. The lead name on the booking will have authority for all personas named on the booking.
  7. We have the right to refuse to allow you to cancel and receive a cash refund where we are not reasonably satisfied that you are cancelling for a COVID-19 reason.
