Travel Protection & Insurance

The safety of our guests and staff is paramount and we take every precaution to ensure this. We keep a close eye on travel restrictions and threats as a major part of our work.

Keeping Up To Date

We will do our best to keep you updated on any travel warnings or advice before your departure date. However, we strongly advise that you visit the FCDO website here. The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office gives detailed travel warnings and advice. If appropriate we may cancel tours prior to departure or make significant changes to tours operating in any or through any country or part of the country concerned.

Travel Insurance

It is mandatory to have Travel Insurance for any tour or holiday booked through Apex Expeditions. It is your responsibility to do this. The extent of the insurance must cover you for any adventurous sports, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation to your home country.  It is necessary that your policy also covers you for medical emergency helicopter repatriation in the event of illness or injury and covers the entire duration of your holiday. Please check insurance policies carefully and ensure that it meets the needs of your chosen tour, including all adventurous activities.

We work closely with True Traveller who provides travel insurance for holidaymakers, adventure travellers and backpackers. They are very friendly people and we highly recommend getting insurance through them. Click here for an insurance quote.
