Vaccinations

Certain countries we travel tour require you to have specific vaccinations. It is imperative that you have these before you travel and within enough time. You must also bring your International Certificate of Vaccination as proof. As stated, this must be signed and stamped by the doctor who administered the injections.

For any holidays in the EU/EEA, you can still use an EHIC – European Health Insurance Card. These are valid until they expire. New EHICs are no longer available (except certain cases) however, you can apply for the new Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) which is also free. For more information and to apply click here. This is not a substitute for travel insurance, this must be purchased separately.

Wellbeing & Health

Drinking Local Water

Your tour guide is the best contact you have for advice on where to drink from. Please ask them any questions you have relating to this and do not drink from any unknown water sources unless instructed to do so.

Do not forget that you can also find sources of germs in ice cubes, canned/bottled drinks and unwashed fruit or vegetables.

Diarrhoea

Unfortunately, this can be quite common especially if you have a sudden change in diet. One issue caused by this is it can affect your body’s ability to absorb medication. We recommend you keep your tour guide updated if you are feeling unwell, they are very professional and friendly people.

It is advisable to travel with electrolyte solutions which you can mix with clean water to help your body recover from lack of salts and fluids.

First Aid & Medicine

Your kit list includes a first aid kit. Please ensure it well equipped and up to date.
